Biography of Katharine Drexel of Philadelphia, heir to the Drexel fortune. After becoming a nun she dedicated herself to working with Native Americans and African Americans. In her lifetime she founded 48 elementary schools, more than 10 high schools and the first Catholic university for Negroes in the United States Xavier University of New Orleans.
