Sonnets; Society and Solitude, 1870. Ralph Waldo Emerson, an American author born in Boston, May 25, 1803, the son of a Unitarian minister. In 1841 he published his first Vol. of essays and in 1847 his first Vol. of poems. His later volumes include The Conduct of Life, 1860. and Letters and Social Aims, 1876.
