He painted historical subjects as well as pure landscapes like 'Near Boulogne' which form an important contribution to the development of the new, naturalistic landscape art of light and atmosphere which was emerging all over Europe, but particularly in England, at the time. 8 X 10 inches, Matted, Fine. -
